six percent :: surgery

He in surgery.

All has gone well, so far.

They gave him the “goofy juice” and he proceeded to get very, very goofy.

Then they wheeled him back to surgery.

And I held his hand until he fell asleep.

Then I walked out, down the hallway, and proceeded to bawl like a baby.

Many here enduring surgeries for reasons so much more pressing than Jude. But somehow, my heart still hurts.

So grateful to know that the Lord has him in the palm of His hand.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.
~ Isaiah 43:2

You are absolutely allowed to cry–it’s a mama’s priveledge! Know that He has you in the palm of his hand, too, and you, your baby boy, and the medical team are being covered in prayer from here. Thank you for posting; I’ve been thinking about you all morning.

I wish I could be there to give you a hug. Not that you’ve ever met me to know who in the world would be walking up out of the blue and throwing their arms around you! LOL (that part hopefully made you laugh a little bit!)

But as a Momma, I can feel your pain. While your head knows God loves Jude even more than you, your heart is allowed to be human and break a little that your guy is having surgery. You know there are lots of us faithful readers who unite with you in prayer. And we’re praying for ALL of you, not just Jude. 🙂

We are crying and praying with you!

Any surgery is a big one when your child is the one being wheeled down the hall.

Praying for a fast recovery and an uneventful trip home!

Haven’t been here for a while & looks like I’ve got a lot to catch up on. Hope Jude recovers soon. I’m barely getting my first daughter so I can not begin to imagine a sick baby or let alone surgeries. You are as strong woman, and a wonderful mother to your children. God Bless!

You are one strong mom. I saw Joey fall asleep for surgery once and …it was awful. The nurse held me and said, “That is exactly what was supposed to happen. Everything is perfect.”

I don’t know…..seeing him ‘fall asleep’ was really awful for me.

Sending love and prayers your way.
