There’s a tiny white church in the next town.
I pass it by almost every week, and every time I do, I admire it’s simple beauty.
Today, instead of just thinking I’d like to go there for my Sunday Snapshot, I actually went.
And took Vivienne.
I took this with my Nikon D90 and my new lens – an amazing story I hope to share soon – a 24-70mm f/2.8. My settings for this picture were ISO 800, 32mm, f/3.2, 1/100. I edited it in CS6 with Florabella Classic Color.
If you’re ready to play along, here’s a quick overview of Sunday Snapshot.
1. Snapshot posts should have the photo to be considered AT THE TOP of the Sunday Snapshot post, and should include the Sunday Snapshot button as well as a link back here to encourage others to play along.
2. Photos entered must belong to entrant.
3. Share any photography tips and/or settings on your posts for others (like me!) who are learning – this is encouraged but certainly not required.
4. I’ll review each Snapshot entry and then select a favorite to be announced on Wednesday.
5. The winning Snapshot will be selected based on composition, color, emotion, creativity and post-processing.
6. Weekly winners will be featured in a monthly Sunday Snapshot post which will be judged by y’all, the readers.
7. The winner of the monthly Sunday Snapshot will receive a photography related goodie donated by the Sunday Snapshot monthly sponsor. July’s Sunday Snapshot sponsor is My 4 Hens Photography.
8. Rules subject to change, as necessary, to keep this fun and fruitful for everyone.
To link up this week with your Sunday Snapshot, just copy the code under the Snapshot button and paste it into the body of your post where you’d like the button to be displayed.
When you hit ‘publish’ it should show up just fine. Then add your link below.
Happy Sunday, y’all.

Love the little white church! We passed several on our recent drive through the mountains in northern Georgia. Little white churches with red doors…wish we could have stopped at them all, but it was pouring rain every day!

Lovely photo. I love little white churches, there’s just something about them. my hubby’s childhood church was a little old white country church. Both his parents and grandparents are buried in the graveyard behind that church. We always visit it when we go back home.

Oh what a beautiful smile she has. Sounds like a beautiful time together.

Lovely photo! THe expression on your girl’s face is so joyful!
I’m linking up for the first time, so a propos of nothing, let me tell you that I also have a connection to China; I lived there for three years, and miss it every day.

What a little joy bucket you Vivienne is. Love this shot…..so tranquil on the lawn like that.
We used the same lens and as much as I love my 50 prime…I’m loving this one maybe even more. Looking forward to hearing your “story”!

As always – your art is brilliant! And congrats on the new lens too – I opted for a little more zoom on my Nikon – but that’ll cover all the important ranges!
hugs – aus and co.

Vivi? Vivi? This CAN’T be VIVI?? What have you done with that precious little baby Vivi?? Oh, how I adore watching this child grow with the joy, excitement and wonder of childhood that shines through in every single photo….she is beyond precious.
Love the little white church….I have a running list of those kinds of places and some I pass by every day and never get to…so glad you got here and shared it with us!
