Several weeks back, on Isabelle’s birthday, she received an incredibly sweet gift.
It was from our neighbors, specifically our neighbors’ granddaughters – ages 7 and 8 – who spend the summers here. And they gifted Isabelle with a ‘lesson’ from them on their super cute Welsh pony, Elliott.
And yesterday was the big day.
When the call came to see if it was a good time to ride, Isabelle could not get her feet through her jean shorts fast enough.
Apples and chaps in hand, we were off to the neighbors.
In no time she was learning how to hold the reins, and do an around-the-world on horseback.
And that “going fast” isn’t gonna happen anytime soon.
It really was the cutest thing.
Except for the 3,468 times she asked to jump.
And go faster.
Thank you, Elliott, for being such a gentleman. And for not going faster.
And thank you, Chrissy and Katie, for making my girl’s birthday one to remember.

HOW FUN!!!!!!!!!! I bet she is still talking about it. I know my girls loved their first time riding & always beg to do it again. I have such fond memories as a girl spending time at the stables. Good times. Cherished memories.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I thought I remembered that Sophie or Isabelle did therapy with horses when they were younger? I’m asking because my friend is thinking about starting it for her daughter, and I wanted to see how it helped yours (:
By the way, super cute! Isabelle’s a natural!
