Sunday Snapshot: {autumn fest}

Today was autumn fest in our little town.

Despite the fact that the weather felt much more like summer than autumn, we attended.

And had a blast.

These were taken in the afternoon. I had to continually change my settings to account for the changing light conditions and I lost a lot of images due to poor exposure. Live and learn.

I took these with my Nikon D90, 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. My settings for the first one were ISO 200 f/2.8 1/160 55mm. I edited them all in CS6 with Florabella Colorplay Perfect Color.

If you want to play along, the rules have changed again. Visit here for the details.

    What a fun day! I can hardly believe that it is OCTOBER, and basically autumn back home. Here, where I am, it’s summer all year long. This is my first stint in the tropics, and while it’s wonderful in every respect, I do find it strange to have no concept of time, no changing weather to mark the passage of months.
    Your pictures are lovely, as usual. Love the tiger face. Despite the lost images, the ones you managed to get are great!

    I really love these shots – they are so colorful (with all the face painting)! You have really encouraged me to do more close ups (something I don’t do so much because I find most of my pictures these days are with my phone – horrors, I know – but the iphone takes a pretty good photo in a pinch). I am going to try to get more close ups of my children’s beautiful young faces – up close like I really see them each day! Thanks!

    I never got my blog linked with your link up. Sadly we have the slowest internet, even though we pay for the fastest service, because we are so far up the mountain. The phone tech said we are the last line. That means it takes at least five minutes to load your blog. So sad! For some reason last Sunday, when I tried to link up it kept crashing.

    Oh well, I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed the face painting! What a fun day!

    Here is the link to my Sunday post, if you have a minute, or five. *~* http://www.citygirlgoneranchmama.com/2012/10/an-empty-home.html
