When Poppy and Tallula scored their princess dresses the other day, Vivienne was left out. Poppy snagged the Rapunzel and Tallula wanted the Cinderella. And that was the end of dresses of the princess variety.
So we had to get creative. We paraded every dress-up dress in the place in front of her.
Dora. Tinkerbell.
Only a princess dress would do, though. And nothing we could find would suffice.
But then.
We brought over a Lalaloopsey dress.
Bright, shiny peach polyester. With layers and layers of lace. And bows. And sequins.
And oh my.
She lit up.
And she pretty much hasn’t stopped grinning.
Proof that you don’t have to be wearing a princess dress to be a princess.

I think that is pretty much a perfect princess dress : ) Way to go! Your little princess is beyond adorable wether wearing that dress or just her regular clothes. She has a million dollar smile.
I don’t know what Lalalopsey is, so I have to go and google right this second.
I hope you have a fantastic week that is filled with lots of love and princess dresses!
sweet little princess 🙂
I wonder if, at 53, I’m too old to have my own princess dress! Adorable.
oh we have had that happen in our house a few times too!
Absolutely precious! So excited for you all! Love us some Lifeline!
So Cute!
The dress surely doesn’t matter- but of how precious she is!
How perfectly girly! Chloe is a tiny princess and we had to order a smaller Cinderella dress online that would fit.
she is gorgeous! and your house has such beautiful light for photos!
Breathtaking!
Hi Stephanie! I stumbled onto your blog and am so happy I did! The title is what really caught my eye…my mom is Chinese and lived in Alabama (where she met my Dad). I instantly thought of her! I’m going to add her story onto my blog one of these days but in the meantime I am excited to read more about you and what you do with those sweet kiddos : )
Thanks for hosting too!
