Sunday Snapshot: Mother’s Day edition

It’s Mother’s Day.

Which means I ate too much yesterday.

Stayed up too late last night.

And plan to do nothing beyond going to church and hanging out with my beloveds today.

It’s the only weekend of the year I can justify this sort of indulgence and laziness, and I’m planning to take full advantage.

mothersday-1

Might possibly see if I can get a better picture of all of us before the day is out. Chris snapped this on our way out to eat Chinese last night. If you look closely you’ll notice that all the kids are dreaming of Chicken Lo Mein – fake smiles and glassy stares a-plenty.

Missing my two biggest babies today *sigh* but they’ll be here in June.

Wishing all you mommas out there an equally indulgent Mother’s Day. You deserve it.

When you’re ready to play along, be sure to visit here for the full scoop.

    Stephanie,

Happy Mothers Day from one momma to another. I am a rather silent reader of your blog but have enjoyed it so much that I check in daily! Our 4 kids are now grown: ages 21 to 26 and we are now starting over and will be going to China… flying out June 13th to meet our newest young lady who is 6 and a half. We are excited and scared. Often times your blogs is our only true means of support …. we have had a tremendous amount of negativity… to the point of being painful sometimes.

Thank You for your honesty and support of adoption, You are a true blessing to me!
