It’s the first day of summer.
And we are all in.
Sleeping late.
Napping whenever.
Snacking. Snacking. Snacking.
Making glitter crowns.
Just because we can.
I do have a thing or two on my to-do list for this summer (learning to sew? anyone?) but for today, that can wait.
Today, we play.
Happy first day of summer.
Caylie and I are coming to live at your house.
And to you and yours as well…
i want to learn how to make a peasant skirt and crochet– online group anyone??!!!!
That photo is simply delicious!
Happy first day of summer!
Have a Happy Summer!
I can relate!!! I just wrote a post about this – my daughter’s last day of school was actually yesterday, can you believe it???
xoxo,

Happy first official day of summer to you as well!
And here is my promised “hi there!” and link to my blog. I’m the woman who practically jumped on you before you could even sit down, that morning at the airport. : ) I so enjoyed chatting for those minutes, and it went by way too quickly–we were just getting to the good stuff! In fact, I must apologize for leaving so abruptly, but I suddenly realized I had not checked in, and got that pressing feeling like I needed to do so, and lo and behold as soon as I did they sent me onto the plane, so I never got to finish our conversation in the way I would have liked, which would be to say Thank you so much for being who you are, for blogging as you do, and for being so friendly to a perfect stranger (of course you aren’t such a stranger to me, since I’ve been reading your blog for so long! But I’m a lurker and don’t comment much, so there you go). May God continue to bless you richly! : )
In fact, it was so bizarre to run into you–what are the odds?!–that later I was wondering, “God, what was that about?” It sure seemed like a Divine appointment–and yet, we didn’t say anything of much meaning as we chatted so briefly about homeschool, parenting, kids, etc. So I just prayed that God would do in each of us whatever He had intended through that. (Or maybe someone sitting behind us needed to hear about special needs adoption or something! ; )
Much love to you from CA!
“Blessed”
p.s. I would like to offer a word of warning, however; mine is a small blog, begun as a way to stay connected with far-flung family and friends, and has evolved into a highly introspective place where I wrestle with and work through all kinds of issues. I have a clear tendency to overthink things and a true gift for verbosity. ; ) With those things considered, you are more than welcome to stop by–I would love it!–but I will take no offense if you choose not to linger, if it turns out my ramblings are not your cup of tea. : )
Wonderful photo.!! I love that you can’t really tell whose who… just three dark haired girls and fairy wings.
I am right there with you, mama. So glad to have a break! 🙂 Ps-Long time no see. Finally crawling out of my shell to check into the blogging world again. Good to see pics of your fam again. 🙂
I love the bench and all the fairies! Simply Adorable!
I love you first day of summer plans:) We need a little more napping and doing nothing around here. We have had busy summer kind of. Kate and I are trying to sew too. If I have any tips to share, I’ll send them your way;)
