About a month ago, I started looking for a dog. Companion for me. Friend for Seamus. Playmate for our kiddos.
Our beloved 15 year old Jack Russell passed away in March and, for the first time since then, I felt ready to have another dog.
Enter Noah.
An almost three year old boston terrier who’d had a bit of a bumpy ride before he arrived here.
Noah was returned to his breeder when he was a year and a half old. The family had some issues with Noah.
And they didn’t want him anymore.
Thankfully, his breeder is a wonderful lady and is committed to all of her puppies for life. She took Noah back into her home and rehabilitated him for over a year.
And that’s when she and I met.
Noah arrived almost 2 weeks ago. And we had a few bumps the first few days.
Noah, meet a houseful of super-excited-can’t-wait-to-get-our-hands-on-him kids.
Kids, meet a-bit-nervous-about-all-you-people Noah.
But I think we’ve rounded the corner.
Noah is learning he can trust us. That what we might lack in peace and quiet, we make up for in exuberant love.
Yep. I think Noah is going to fit in just fine around here.

Good for you! It makes me sad to think that someone could give up such a gorgeous animal after having him for a year and a half. It looks like he will be happy in his new home!
