a love letter

I am trying to teach my boys how to love scripture. And to look and listen for God in His Word.

Because He is there.

We are reading through the Bible using the One Year Bible plan. Every day we read some Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. And each day we write down a particular verse that stands out to us in our reading.

On Friday we go back through all the verses we’ve written down for the week and choose the one that – for whatever reason – speaks to us. And we talk about why.

jeremiah31

I love doing this. I even think my boys are beginning to love it.

Looking for and finding Him in His love letter to us.

What a great idea. Kaish and I have been trying to memorize a bible verse each week that he hears at Youth Group. I would love to read the Bible through with him. That would be awesome. Thanks for sharing : ).
