news and no news

Sooo, I posted a few days ago about the guy’s version of the Found shirt.

I was *so* excited about the design. I hoped to place the order quickly so that those who are already waiting on the re-print of the heart tee would have it in their hands asap. And I said that the last day to donate to get a Found tee would be today.

All was going according to plan.

But then the wheels fell off. We found out our sweet Clementine needs heart surgery. And I kinda lost track after that.

Oh, and our printer told us the art we wanted to use for the guy tee won’t translate to print like we’d hoped.

Yeah. We’re kinda-sorta overwhelmed.

But we are undaunted. A guy’s version will be forthcoming. In fact, we are oh-so-close to being done with the artwork, we just have to finalize it before posting it (see, I’m learning!) – so look for it soon. Just not today. Hopefully tomorrow, but at this point, I don’t want to guess.

Because I am so not in charge of this. And I’m realizing I just need to get out (and stay out) of the way of the One who is.

Because He’s got this – and her – right in the palm of His hand.

It is my hope to be able to post the final guy’s design tomorrow. And then get on with this fundraising from there.

Because there’s a little girl halfway around the world who really needs to get home.

No new news on our Clementine or her heart.

Please continue to lift her up in prayer – so grateful to know that many of y’all have been and will continue to pray on her behalf. And thank you for sharing your Found pictures on FB and IG. I can’t tell you how seeing you and your sweet babies in their Found tees has brought a smile to my face over these last few difficult days. It’s been a true blessing.

The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. – Exodus 14:14

Praying for you and that these t-shirts provide 100% of the needed funds, so that you can put that worry behind you.

Stefanie, your family is in for a special blessing with sweet little Clementine. We adopted a little girl from china with DS 2 years ago as well and she is totally smothered and adored by her 5 older siblings. We actually sought out this SN bc I had a cousin with DS who blessed me so much as a child. Our Abby Joy is amazing. It’s not all rainbows and lollipops, but nothing ever is. As far as long term care… She’ll never be in lack with your large family. If your kids are anything like mine, they’ll be fighting over who gets her when she grows up:) it’s comforting to know that she’ll always be cared for no matter what. You’ll be surprised at how this SN really is not much different than the rest. The biggest concern is for her heart. The rest is just life. You’ll figure it out as you go. God is so good! Congratulations!!!

Stefanie, I’ve been following your blog for a couple of years now, just checking in now and then. Thank you for sharing your family with us. I’m challenged and encouraged with what you share. Thank you for sharing your soul with me.

But now I’m reading your pots and wondering if there’s something I can do for you? I live in China and have for a little over 6 years now. I teach at an international school a few hours outside of Beijing. Maybe lifting up the newest member of your family is my contribution, but if there’s anything I can do-being in country while you’re not-please let me know.
