Y’all.
We are going to China.
Of course *technically* I’ve known since we submitted our LOI that going to China would be in our near future. But there is something very surreal about this whole process until you get right down to the end of all the paperwork-collecting and fingerprint-giving and passport-photo-taking… and actually approach the going-to-China part to bring your baby home.
And right now we are close enough to going to be able to smell the travel-size section at Walgreens.
Last week we got the blessed news that our request for our paperwork to be expedited after LOA had been granted.
And then on Tuesday – suddenly and finally – we got word that our Travel Approval had been issued and a Consulate Appointment confirmed.
We have our visas in-hand, and our flights are booked. We will meet Magnolia on May 9th.
All of a sudden two weeks feels like nothing and forever. At the same time.
Two weeks until we leave? How will I ever get everything done in time!
Two whole weeks until we leave? But it feels like forevvvvvver!
But the truth is, this trip is right on time. Because it’s His timing – down to the heart-stopping moment when I finally get to meet my girl.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. – Ecclesiastes 3:11
