On this day we ventured back to Shamian Island because we could. Being in the same province for both weeks gives you a lot more room in your schedule and so a free day for us meant a quick taxi ride to an afternoon of pictures, shopping, french fries…
And just hanging out.
Because when you’re trying to keep a 2, 3, 14 and 16 year old happy – half-a-world away from home – sometimes just letting them loose is the most logical solution.
Of course, with these two tiny ones, just letting them loose means a little chaos will follow.
A little tattling and finger-pointing.
And little leaf-eating, just for kicks.
Thankfully no one was hurt in the making of this blog post and, other than the leaf (which was not actually consumed but, unfortunately, did not survive) no one was worse for the wear. We all eventually meandered down to Lucy’s and gorged ourselves on hot fries, cold Cokes and a huge pile of onion rings. (And, some of us, just ketchup).
