A Trip to the Museum

This fall, Asher, Dalton, Sophie and Isabelle started taking a ceramics class at the Birmingham Museum of Art.

It’s a fantastic class – the kids are able to create something new each week and bring home their masterpiece from the week before.

The class lasts an hour and a half and the museum is half an hour away from our house without traffic.

Which means the little kids and I stay at the museum while the big kids are in class.

Thankfully the museum is free.

And educational.

And surprisingly fun.

Their favorite part is the kids’ section where they get to, at last, put their hands on everything…

And create little masterpieces of their own.

(They also enjoy the outdoor area, where they can run and play, and make jokes about nekkid people.)

Thanks, Birmingham Museum of Art, for making our wait so very entertaining. See you again soon!
