One thing I love about Thanksgiving is that – other than a completely over-the-top, takes-2-days-in-the-kitchen-to-prepare sort of meal – there are no expectations.
Just togetherness.
And that’s what we’ve been up to — my kids, my sister’s kids, my sister’s husband, my sister, me and Chris. Lots and lots of kids. And lots and lots of togetherness.
Eating. Laughing. Staying up late. Getting up early. Eating. Playing games. Watching movies. Making ornaments. Eating. Laughing. Making a bonfire. Going fishing. Eating.
I love this picture of Poppy and my sister’s oldest boy, Dane. They were just snuggled up together, watching a movie. So content – just being together.
And I am reminded how thankful I am for my kids. For my nieces and nephews. For family. For time together.
P.S. Did y’all see that, as of today, $3281 has been raised for An Orphan’s Wish? Y’all are crazy. And I love each and every one of yo’-crazy-big-hearted-selves.

So happy for you. I love those kinds of family times too. I miss my sisters. No shopping here either.

LOVING our holiday time too. Yesterday, we had 20 faces around three tables and lots and lots of laughter and “remember when’s” to share. Today, just chilling out at home, and re-vamping a treasured holiday tradition to flex with Shaggy’s YWAM schedule. Bittersweet but just the right way to do it for us this year!!!!! Will be blogging it soon for sure 🙂
