Remember that Memorial Day picnic I mentioned a few days ago?
Where, sprawled out on table after table, copious amounts of yumminess beckoned…. and we all proceeded to stuff our faces?
With all the choices at hand, I didn’t get the chance to meet these little numbers that day, thankgoodness.
Because that would have been ugly.
But we did get sent home with three boxes of them.
I’m not sure what store these are from, or what culinary genius is responsible for their shocking deliciousness. And I consider that a very good thing.
My already too-tight jeans are heaving a collective sigh of relief.
I mean, they look innocent enough, right? Chocolate cookie with some frosting? And a dusting of patriotic sprinkles?
I didn’t even try one at the picnic because, well, they just didn’t look all that great.
Don’t let them fool you, like they fooled me. If you ever see these in your favorite mega-store, steer your cart away. Immediately.
I didn’t have any warning. And I walked into this craziness blindly.
So, so blindly.
After polishing off the first two boxes almost single-handedly, I did what any good mom would do.
I brought in the troops.
Note to self: don’t ever, under any circumstances, agree to take three boxes of cookies home under the false assumption that your large brood of children will eat them.
Because you’ll eat them first.

Sounds like you have the same amount of willpower I do when it comes to sweets in the house. Thank goodness for big families that can polish them off in no time…for our own good, of course! 🙂

Have you ever noticed when you have a large family, you tend to go home from church/community dinners with more food than you came with?
Those cookies are delicious!!! So are their cookie cousins- the sugar cookies with a glob of frosting and sprinkles:)

Whatever you do don't look at the nutritional info for those suckers. I am not a health nut in the least, but I about fell over when I looked at the fat grams of those puppies.. like as in more than a big mac… it was enough to scare me back to the little debbie's 🙂

Our grocery store sells those cookies. My girls love the vanilla cookie with either the pink (pink power ranger) or yellow (yellow power ranger) frosting. I like any and all of them!

Ha Ha – I know those cookies! They come from a number of stores/groceries – they are all made by the same place, and you are right – just don't take the first bite. I regularly need to walk past the display – don't look – don't think anyone else will eat them with as much relish as you will, just, dont', do it. Annie above is right as well – the sprinkles are everywhere.
