Celebrating Jude’s big day

Tonight we celebrated Jude’s birthday by eating cupcakes and singing “Happy Birthday” to our boy who is half a world away.

The girls had no idea what we were celebrating, all they knew is that they were getting to eat the cupcakes they had been asking for all afternoon.

Asher and Dalton were excited that their little brother was turning one and everyone fought over who would get to blow out Jude’s candle. We can’t wait to celebrate with you at your next birthday, precious boy.

And somewhere while you’re sleeping
Someone else is dreaming too
Counting down the days until
They hold you close and say I love you
And like the rain that falls into the sea
In a moment what has been is lost in what will be

I think that celebrating his birthday as a family is beautiful. He will have those pictures to cherish and know how much his family loved him before he even came home.

I hope the best of luck for you all! I know it’s a hard, long wait but God has a plan! 🙂
