When left to their own devices…

I was trying to get some paperwork done the other day (I always have paperwork that needs to be done) the girls were quietly, well, at least happily, playing in their room. Then they started running out with additional dress up pieces they wanted my help in donning. Can you say, a little is good and more does not necessarily mean better? They don’t yet grasp this concept and I’m certainly not going to burst their bubble 😉 They were so excited to be all gussied up. Little brother, in the mean time, was playing with the sprinkles (that I actually gave him thinking they were still sealed). After a few minutes I wondered why he was so quiet and went to find him in a sea of sprinkles, happily playing with the colored pieces that had stuck to his hands. And I wonder why I always have paperwork to do?

That’s hilarious. Reminds me of my sister’s house. She has 4. She’s caught them playing in the sink which nearly flooded the bathroom, playing with a bag of flour that opened and got everywhere, and the list goes on and on. The beauty of a big family. Sometimes one of the kids disappears for a few minutes and ya just don’t notice. Then you know you’re in trouble cuz you know when you find them you’ll have a mess to clean up! LOL!

Sometimes the consequeces ( as long as they are not in any danger) are just worth the few minutes of quiet. You know I think Sophie looks like you when she smiles!! she does!

Actually makes me feel better we are not the only home where we have to worry when it gets toooo quiet! They are way too cute, though. Thanks so much for sharing and as for that paperwork, it may get done when the kids are ohhhh, 25.

Oh.My.Gosh. Something about the shoes, the headband, and those pearls on Belle have me CRACKING UP. I think for kids, too much might be a good thing, at least for dress up.

    And oh boy… them’s a lotta sprinkles.
