Haircuts, balloons and carseats

The weather around here might not be spring-like, but it feels like it should be spring. The daffodils are popping up, trees are starting to hint at the beginning of buds. Which meant it was time for the ‘spring’ haircut. Both girls were overdue and I will be the first to admit, our experiment with growing Sophie’s hair out was a miserable failure. The longer her hair got, the more out of control her double cowlicks became. She has gorgeous hair, but it just takes on a life of it’s own when it’s longer. And if I had the time to blow dry it completely, daily, it would be gorgeous any length. But we go for ease around here. And for Sophie short = easy. Now with Isabelle, short is just practical. The girl is a wildcat and when her hair gets in her fact she gets irritated. So the bangs are an effort to keep more of her hair out of her face. I think she looks a bit like Deb’s Sophie now ๐Ÿ™‚
I think both of their cuts look absolutely adorable, I love their sassy new spring looks. The girls were thrilled to have a haircut day as haircuts equal lollipops. And on this occasion, it meant balloons also as our stylist was sweet enough to give each of the girls one of her Valentine’s Day balloons. Note though that the excitement on the girls’ faces was not due to the haircuts nor the lollys, but it was lil bro’s brand new carseat that was the inspiration for all those smiles… they had no idea what was in the box, really who cares?, they were just pumped to have that big ol’ box to play with!!
P.S. Marathon carseats are on a great sale right now. I got ours at Baby Catalog for $209, no tax, no shipping. A full $70 cheaper than you’ll find any other time of the year. We picked the Crocodile pattern for our little guy!

The girls’ haircuts are so cute….and sassy too!! All of the sudden these children start to look so grown up! Where have our toddlers gone? You are right about the haircuts….Isabelle and our Sophie are sporting that same “do”. Looks great on both of them!

They are just adorable….and are so blessed to have each other!

Love the haircuts! Addison just got her little mullet cut and now has a cute little bob! We are Marathon carseat fans! Livi is in a booster seat and Miss Addison is getting to tall for her marathon. Time for Addison to get a new carseat.

Love these carseats! We have them too! I went for Onyx in Mikes Car and will get the granite for mine.

The girls haircuts look fab! I love Isabelles! Piper just cant do bangs, she has the wildest cowlicks and her hair grows foward from the back of her skull…like Hawk from Buck Rogers!

Those are gorgeous haircuts! Makes me want to grow out Sophie’s bangs! I was just looking at her today, and thinking I should cut hers short again. Too cold here yet, not sign of spring. Single digits, and another big storm coming tomorrow night. (sigh…)

they look DARLING! the cut really suits them. Sophie reminds me a lot of Chloe with that cut. nothing like a spring ‘do’ to make a girl feel great : )

Those are some sassy fun hairdos! I love them! They look pretty proud of them, too.

I am glad you found a super bargain on such a great carseat. I am sure Shepherd will look adorable in the seat you chose for him and I bet it is nice to get little things here and there to prepare for him.

    Have a wonderful weekend,

ooohhhh I love the bob w.no bangs. They have such pretty hair. I’m taking Catherine today, but she has bangs already so we can’t do the cool, bang-less bob.

    Very cute!

I love the girls’ haircuts!! they are just soooo sweet! Sally has never had her hair cut, and i’ve been really considering it because she won’t keep hairclips or ponytails in and her hair gets sticky and messy from her face. i think we’ll be doing a spring cut too! mimi ๐Ÿ™‚

ADORABLE!! I love the new haircuts and if your girls are anything like Oakley, they’re FEELING just as sassy as they look. She practically struts around the house after she gets her hair cut!

Love the new cuts! Of course, your girls would look adorable in any “do”, but I just love the short bobs. I got Mia’s cut on Tuesday and I plan on keeping it in a short bob for a long time. (After all, I can still use bows!) ๐Ÿ™‚
