I am SO excited! I have been thinking about this for months… it was born out of a conversation with my sister (one of a zillion) and I am finally ready to get started! Rebecca has graciously agreed to collaborate with me to create something completely unique. And most of all, it’s going to hopefully benefit the ones who need our help the most: the special needs kiddos who wait.
I’d like to wait to officially announce WHAT the ‘something new’ is but need your help in the meantime. To make this as functional, useful and resourceful as possible, I need your input. If you are a special needs family and would like to share your story, please email me at chrisnstefanie@gmail.com. You can share about your child’s need, your agency, your experience in the SN program… anything that has to do with China’s waiting child program. Your story can be positive, negative or just informative, each and every experience is important! If you have your story already posted on your blog or website, you can just send me a link. Or if you’d like to remain anonymous, that’s fine too ๐
If you have any questions, feel free to email me. I am so excited about this and sincerely hope that anyone who has been blessed by a special needs child will want to share their story so others can see how truly amazing these little ones are!

Stefanie,
This sounds so awesome! As someone who is waiting for a SN referral, I just KNOW that this is going to bless me!
Can’t wait!!
Blessings,
Jenn
Stephanie – Shepards in Guangdong province, right? What CWI is he in? We have been referred a sweet one from Dongguang CWI and I didn’t know if that is where he is or not.
Carla

Stefanie, not sure exactly what you have in mind, but I’m sure it will be an awesome venture!
GOOD LUCK & I cannot wait to hear what it is!
Even though we aren’t directly involved in SN (for now), if I can help in any way, just let me know!
HUGS!!
Stephanie, I think you should write an adoption book. You’ve had lots of different experiences with each adoption. Couple that with your experience and insight with your bio kids and your knack for writing humorously and with freshness. I believe you’d sell a lot of books in the adoption community. best, Priscilla
Stefanie –
I can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve!! You are such an inspiration to those of us that are waiting for our SN kids from China (& other places, I am sure!!) I have shared your story so many times!! I met a Mama to a bio club foot a few months ago & I have been watching her go through her surgeries..it is so hard!! Thanks for all your thoughtfulness ๐
Stefanie,
Can’t wait to find out this “something new”! Something wonderful I am sure:) You’re a blessing to so many!

~waiting for Sophie~
I am looking forward to whatever it is you are doing!! I will try to write something up about Ryan this weekend.
Ooooh, the ball is rolling!!!! ๐ SOOOOOO excited!!!
Love,
Rebecca
Hi Stefanie,
I can’t wait to find out more! I’ll write about Mia. Just hope it’s what you’re looking for.
you know, our story has a lot to do with knowing YOU! You were such a big part of opening the world of SN adoption to us, and we will be forever thankful!
If I submit ours you might blush.
Oh if only I was already home with her :O) I know whatever you’ve got brewing, it’s gonna be good :O)
And Rebecca is going to do my makeover too, though it will be awhile. I’m so excited though!!
Wow – it sounds wonderful and I’m intrigued! I don’t know if we’re any help (yet) since we’re still “in waiting” but if our blog is useful at any point, you’re more than welcome to link us. We’re HUGE proponents of the SN programs and want to do anything we can to help!
Don’t really have a SN story to share. But I do have a Mom ,of SN children, who inspires me to parent- unafraid!
Luv U,
A
I am so glad that I stumbled upon you – I too am a GA peach and I will email you soon about our SN story. I cannot wait to see what you have in store!
My blog has our SN adoption story. You can use it if you would like. I’ve been thinking about doing a “how we got where we are” post at some point.
Good luck.

Hey Stephanie,
I’d love to contribute in any way I can…We just got back two days ago from picking up our Cassie, a wc with an unrepaired VSD. Our journey will continue as we seek out the proper care for her. You can check our info out on our blog, but I’d love to get more specific with you sometime when I am not recovering from jetlag!
