the Pioneer Woman

I really wasn’t intending to make it a mystery, I figured my little c o d e in the post would spell it out. Literally. It’s The Pioneer Woman, silly! Of course!

THE PIONEER WOMAN!!

If you don’t know her, hold on to your boots. The lady has some mad skillz. I use a ‘z’ at the end of the word skills to emphasize her ability. She’s that good. At lotsa stuff. Her website was recently featured in Time’s list of top 25 blogs. That’s top 25 out of the, like, millionbillion blogs there are out there. Her site is a place where you can actually go and learn something… how to make something yummy, build a flowerbed, differentiate between a Brahma and a Hereford, or take a better picture. It’s quality time.

She makes food that looks like this… I mean, how can someone make a burger beautiful??

(for her complete recipe file, go here.)

And she takes pictures like this:

and this….

(for more Pioneer Woman pictures go
here.)

Pictures that are so beautiful, they make me wanna cry.

All that and she’s funny as heck. And not too proud to share the story of the time she forgot her underpairs on the bathroom floor. Where her brother-in-law was working. And this momma could sure use a good laugh every now and then, knowhatimsayin’???

So, really, to get the opportunity to meet her is an incredibly cool thing. The sad thing is that I’m going to get there and be so shell-shocked, I’ll probably do well to spit out a few pleasantries and not stand there and drool on myself. Add the newly chipped tooth to the package and I’m sure I’ll really impress.

To read about the contest, read here. We’re gonna make these with Bakerella! Guess who is going to be hoping and praying that mama has some of these little beauties in her hand when she comes back home???

Can’t wait ’til Tuesday!!

I think you deserve it, Stefanie! I’m so happy for you. I just can’t imagine anyone who I would rather see in PW’s lodge. I love you both (and the way you live and share your lives) via the internet. God bless you and ENJOY such a fun gift!

Are you serious!! Are you really one of the coveted 4 that will get to bake with Ree and Bakerella! I’m sooo jealous right now, I can’t wait to hear all about your adventure as I’ve been a huge fan of Pioneer Woman for a couple years now. 🙂

I just spent like 3 hours on her blog the other night pouring over her homeschooling section. Did NOT even make it to the photography section yet!!!

And yes, you DESERVE it! Have FUN!!!!

Do you think I might possibly fit in your suitcase? You’ve packed for China so many times, I figured you are an expert. So, do you think I might fit?
