house hunting… oh my

Today is my third and final day up here in the beautiful North East. I ventured up here, alone, in hopes of finding the perfect house for our, er, little family, which is not such an easy task.

Especially because the cost of housing up here, to me at least, is outrageous compared to what you can get for your $ in the good ol’ Midwest.

Another consideration is that we need to find a house now. Actually, like yesterday. We have sold our house (praise God!!!) and will start packing on the 23rd and out by the 27th. As in June 27th. So we’re sorta gonna be homeless for a bit, until God decides to reveal to us the place He has picked for us. And I just know it’s going to be perfect πŸ™‚

Pray for us that today is the day!

Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as He delighted in your fathers, if you obey the Lord your God and keep His commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deuteronomy 30:9-10

Did I totally miss something?? You are moving? Wow, I'm not sure where you get all your energy, but bottle it up for me, please.

Love that passage you posted…it encouraged me greatly today and I plan to meditate on it throughout my day.

I will be praying for God to reveal the PERFECT house that He has planned for you.

Yeah, I'm thinking you owe us all an apology. I mean, really, we are your bestest friends and you didn't even tell us that your house was For Sale and that you were moving closer to most of us. For real, Steph?! Of course, we'll accept your apology and love you just the same but what were you thinking, keeping us all in the dark like that?! (major winkity, wink, wink!!)
I can't believe you are moving again. We're in lil' ole Delaware, which is more "mid" than "north" so I'm thinking your moving to a colder state. Oh well, you'll still be East and we love you over here on the Coast!!

I remember when you alluded to moving again, a few months back; didn't realize it was so soon! Congrats on selling your house: what a relief that must be!

We lived in MA, near Boston, for several years, and my brothers and their families now live there. If you're headed that way, let me know, and I can refer you to some nice areas.

It IS pricey up in NE, but it's lovely, and there are so many great places to see and visit, that you never need to really go far away.

    Good luck!
