Sunday Snapshot: {a man and a woman}

God blessed us yesterday.

I mean, He blesses us every day, but we were keenly aware of it yesterday.

In big ways and in little ways.

We were actually both ready (showered, dressed, house clean, kids bathed, kids fed, kiddie pep talk completed, bribes in place) with enough gumption and wherewithal to have Asher take our picture to commemorate this occasion.

No, not our anniversary. That happens once a year.

The fact that we were going out. On a date.

And leaving the kids with a babysitter.

At least, most of the kids.

The littlest was showing signs of a cold and we, being ridiculously wrapped around her finger, decided to bring her along.

Hey, when you’ve got as many kiddos as we do, just having one is almost like having none.

We arrived at our destination, ready to strap on the feedbags.

After all, we’d put in a hard day of work. At least it was a hard day for me. For Chris I think it was akin to a walk in the park.

I really need to start working out.

But not today. Today was a day of celebration.

Celebrating love.

Celebrating marriage.

Celebrating our blessings.

And celebrating what can happen…

when a man

… loves a woman.

Absolutely lovely! Congratulations on the blessing of marriage AND parenthood! Chris is a lucky man to have two such beautiful ladies accompany him to dinner. And I hope you got your free blossom for military. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Congratulations!! And I am totally loving that you had a tag-along for the evening…I don't remember what dates are like without one! :o)

Many continued blessings to your marriage & family!!

p.s. I think I'm skipping SS this week as my butterflies for our upcoming court date have me totally distracted from doing anything productive.

Hope you guys had a great time! We've had many "tag-a-long" dates and will have them again once our son is home. We have been blessed with wonderful neighbors when we moved here and we switch off babysitting for each other so we can both go on dates. (we get the better end of the deal with their 3 vs our 6 – soon to be 7:-)

Happy Anniversary! Fun to finally get out! Our last date night was New Years Eve 3 years ago – before Jailyn came home. ๐Ÿ™‚ All the big kids were at events – and the boring parents had nothing to do – thankfully we have little ones again!

awhhhh…that was just BEAUTIFUL Stefanie! Seriousy choked me up. I'm such a sap…and the fact that my hubby is away for work right now, doesn't help the matter either.

Those date nights are something to treasure…ALMOST as much as that LOVE you and your hubby have!

    God bless!

Awww, you guys are too cute! And I love the little one coming too … I mean, she's so new, how could she NOT come?! And what a sweetie. That look on her face in the car photo is so sweet! (although she may be on to the fact that she has you wrapped around her finger.) Love the OutBack too. Good Choice on all fronts!

    Just beautiful.

Grace usually joins us for our Monday morning dates while the other kids are at their homeschool classes. You're right! Having just one is almost like being with just your hubby.

So glad that you had a wonderful evening out. Happy Anniversary!

Just found your blog. I was looking at your pics of you little boy w/ bilateral club feet. Our little boy Ewen also has bilateral club feet. He just turned 3 at the end of Dec. We had him for nearly 9 mos now. About a month and a half ago he had surgery to lengthen his achilles tendon (and surgery on his spine for an issue we were unaware of until we came home.) He's been doing serial casting since Oct, and today we get his last cast off. He will be wearing braces probably for a few years. He's going to have one more surgery for a displaced hip (also undiagnosed in China.) We can't wait to be done with all our surgeries.
Anyway, I thought I'd try to connect since our Ewen and your Shepherd have that in common.

Oh how this post made me SMILE. Not just any ol' smile but a big huge teary one.

What a gorgeous couple and that baby, well, I wouldn't have been able to leave her behind either. I'll bet the kiddos had a grand time with the babysitter. I think whoever that babysitter was deserved a MAJOR shout out. In case you haven't noticed, uh, eh, hum…you have a LOT OF KIDS!

Yes, I can see how much that man loves his woman…and the love of the woman for her man showes in those gorgeous baby blues, Mama!

Thanks for taking us along on your Date Night! Heheheheheh! That Chris is one good sport!
