Sunday Snapshot: {twenty-one}

Yes, she is.

Twenty-one.

So, of course, we made a cake.

And licked the beaters.

And prepared all kinds of other culinary delights.

All favorites of the birthday girl.

Pioneer Woman’s Brisket, Baby was the main course.

My girl had a hankerin’ for something substantial. I’m guessing she doesn’t prepare a whole lot of brisket when she’s away at college.

And on her birthday, she knows she gets just about anything she wants.

Just about.

Which makes her very happy, indeed.

Or is that smile in anticipation of devouring a ridiculously huge chunk of Strawberry Shortcake Cake?

We’ll never know.

Thinking of a wish before blowing our her candles.

All 21 of them….

I certainly hope it comes true. Whatever it was.

And the birthday cake?

All I can say is: Y.U.M.

When you’re 21, you don’t open a lot of actual presents on your birthday.

Just lots and lots of cards.

Hoping for lots and lots of cash-ola.

And most of the time, our girl is pretty easy to please.

Let’s just say, it was a good thing the cake turned out so yummy.

Happy 21st Birthday, my precious girl.

I am fiercely proud to call you my daughter.

Love,
Your very, very blessed mama.

It was a tough pick, but my favorite Sunday Snapshot from last week was Annie’s from Cornbread and Chopsticks. Annie shared about her beautiful daughter, Lizzie.

About Lizzie’s perfect little hands, and Lizzie’s very determined spirit.

To participate in Sunday Snapshot this week, just copy the code under the Snapshot button and paste it into the body of your Snapshot post where you’d like the button to be displayed. Once you hit ‘publish’ it should show up just fine ๐Ÿ™‚

Then add your link below. And don’t worry if your number doesn’t show up. For some reason, sometimes you can’t see your own number. But it is there.

Happy Sunday, y’all!

Awww! Happy Birthday Tori ๐Ÿ™‚ My daughter Claire turned 20 on the 20th – so we made cake and licked the beaters too, ha ha! You can see pics on my blog…. (I'm just jealous that I just had the one, when all my life I knew I was going to have kids from all over the world. Life sometimes doesn't turn out how you expect).
