Sunday Snapshot: {D-bomb}

After focusing on Asher for my Sunday Snapshot a few weeks ago, I figured it would be Dalton’s turn next. Descending chronological order, right?

So today, it’s all about the D-bomb.

Thankfully, he was in a pretty jovial mood today and agreed to come along on my errands, knowing a stop for some picture taking would be included.

I was relieved.

Because some days?

Dalton is moody. Believe it or not.

And when he’s in a bad mood, he is one tough nugget to crack.

But when his mood is good? He’s great.

Silly, goofy and just plain fun.

And occasionally resembles Dr. Evil.

Dalton is loving 3rd grade this year.

He’s insanely social and loves hanging with his friends – especially at recess.

There is rarely a day that Dalton doesn’t have his football tucked into his backpack, ready for a little toss around at recess.

He also loves to goof around with his brothers and sisters. He can be frequently found at the front of a conga line after dinner, with all five of his younger siblings trailing behind.

Especially Vivienne.

Oh my word, do those two love each other.

I adore watching this rough and tumble boy melt into a puddle when Miss Vivi asks for anything.

A ride on his back.

A bite of his ice cream.

Or a few minutes on his iTouch.

He simply can not refuse her.

He also loves to cook. He can make some mean scrambled eggs.

And his grilled cheese sandwiches? Yum.

His favorite dinners – to eat, not to make quite yet – are Pioneer Woman recipes.

He’s admittedly got a weakness for PW.

The boy has good taste.

And some day, with those dimples and that smile, I bet he’ll find a girl who can tolerate that moodiness.

As long as he keeps on cooking.

And sharing bites of his ice cream.

Loving those dimples, Stefanie!!!! I don't think he will have a bit of trouble finding a beautiful young lady to cook for him PW style with those cheeks!!! Your sweet Dalton sounds very much like my wonderful Christian!

What a cutie. The way you describe him, he sounds a lot like my Harry. Which one has the food allergies and how is that all going????

What a handsome boy! My third grader just loves taking care of our littlest ones too. She surprises me sometimes how she will take time from even her friends to help or entertain her little sisters. 🙂

Stephanie, I think yall are wonderful for adopting. No matter how many you adopt. You two know what you can handle. There are so many that need help. Do what's right in your heart. No one can speak for you. God is your source. Listen to His voice! Love
