Sunday Snapshot: {my baby}

First of all, let me say that I am so, so ridiculously excited to bring home Poppy.

I mean, my stomach does flip flops every time I think about it.

Which is about every 5 seconds.

Flop.

But there is a little part of me that is sad.

And wants to drag out these last few days just a little bit longer.

Because once Poppy is home, Vivi won’t be my baby any more.

And I can’t help but get a big lump in my throat at the thought.

I mean, she’ll always be my baby.

But she won’t be the baby.

I look at her and she still seems so tiny to me.

So much a baby.

But in so many ways, she is growing up.

Something she, evidently, wants to do.

She wants to buckle her own seat belt.

Play with the big kids.

Stay up late.

I guess there is no stopping it.

So I will just relish every last moment.

With my baby.

I can’t believe how quickly they want to become independent. I am sure Vivi will be showing Poppy the ropes in no time! I can’t wait to see them together.
Have a safe trip to China and back in case I don’t get back here before you leave.

I know you are up to your eyeballs with getting ready to travel—but are the “So Loved” T-shirts still available for purchase?? If so can you send me the info or the link–It can certainly wait until you return as I can imagine how busy you must be.

Your sweet Vivi is beautiful and yes, growing up all too soon. Our daughter, Caiya, has been home 2 years from China and I was just looking back at videos today and bawling my eyes out at how much she’s grown, changed, and become independent. She wants to buckle her own seatbelt, put on (and pick out) her own clothes, etc. and while I understand her need to grow up, I am so sad that these baby days are at an end. But, the show must go on! And they must grow.. ick! Vivi is going to be a wonderful big sister.. blessings to you as you prepare to grow your family!

Awww. She’s such a cutie. I love the porch she’s on too…..just sayin’. You know, our Maya was SO excited to get a little brother, and then that all changed once we got home and she saw how much time he took from Mom. She was teary and grouchy and just not herself. Now, she’s back to totally loving her brother and is a fantastic big sister…..but sometimes still says, “Can we just have some Mom and me time?”

So sweet! And thanks for the info on the tees! We still want one (extra personal funds are a tad low at the moment…), and our “So Loved Sisters” will be getting back together after school starts back. Hopefully we can get some matching tees SOON!
Safe travels to China!! Can’t wait to hear all about it!

Moments like this are so precious…
Follow you to China, and hoping to be there one day, for a similar reason.

Oh, how this made me tear up as I struggle with my Tongginator no longer being the baby. I love Mei Mei, and am so happy to be her momma, but it’s been hard (and wonderful) watching the Tongginator lose her baby status. Even at seven. *blush*
