Sunday Snapshot: {missing you}

I considered doing something else for this week’s Sunday Snapshot.

But I’ve sort of got Poppy on the brain.

This weekend marked the first time I’d been away from her overnight.

I think it was harder on me than it was on her.

I got all misty hearing to her say on the phone, “I ya you, mama!” at the top of her lungs.

And when they flashed her picture up on the slideshow at the conference, I just barely held back some big ol’ ugly mama tears.

But back here at home – other than asking for me several times – she didn’t skip a beat.

Which is great news, since in just 12 days, I’ll be going away for almost 2 weeks.

Man oh man, did I miss my littlest bug.

And it’s going to be so much tougher next time, when I’m half a world away.

Sorry, I’ve got to keep this Snapshot post short and sweet.

I’ve got some lovin’ to do.

Happy Sunday Monday, y’all.

P.S. I did speak and I didn’t cry, stutter or fall off my chair. All good things. Other than that, I’m not so sure. Thanks for praying for me.

    She’s such a sweetie, and has grown so much in the past few months. Can’t wait to see when Lula gets added to the clan. IT’s gonna be awesome!

    Stefanie, she is edible. Seriously edible. What a precious baby girl she is! So glad to hear that she did so well while you were gone, what a blessing! I’m also glad we got the chance to meet and chat for a bit this weekend, it was a true pleasure!

    Sweet post! I am having a hard time thinking of leaving our Lily while we go to China for her brother. Since coming home in Dec. of ’10, we haven’t left her for more than a weekend. It’s gonna be tough.

    I certainly know how you were feeling. This was the first weekend I had ever been away from my three littles and it was tough. I could barely talk to them when I called home~ their voices were so precious. I know you are loving on all those babies these days before traveling. It will be here soon and can’t wait to follow. LOVED meeting you this weekend and thank you from the bottom of my heart for talking to me about my journey… God will show us the way I am sure and your kindness really blessed my heart. PS… loved wearing my By Grace shirt today… Blessings and love! Sharon
