If my husband knew what was going on, he’d be jealous.
You see, Poppy has a new man in her life.
She’s kept it on the down-low, though.
In fact, it was just today that I fully recognized just how crazy about Seamus Poppy actually is.
When I found her singing to him.
The only word I could make out in the entire song was Seamey (Poppy’s pet name for her beloved). And she proceeded to chase him all around and rub his coat vigorously as she sang.
It’s love, I tell ya. At least love between a girl and her dog.
And I think, in his own way, he loves her right back.
As always, beautiful shots of your everyday blessings! I am usually a color pic kinda gal, but I LOVE these in black and white. And that video … well it flat out melts my heart! Poppy + her pup = priceless.
I loved hearing her little voice……. and the pictures of the puppy love are just killin me!!!
The cuteness is off the charts!!
Beautiful black and whites too:)
xoxo,
Lisa

Greetings from Finland!
Good golly this might be the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a very long time! Thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness…..it’s ridiculous how cute she is!! Love the pics. Love the video. Love it all!!
Absolutely priceless! I love black and white and these are amazing! What a memory in pictures and video. God is so good!
oh my goodness…that sweet little girl is just blossoming!!! She does indeed LOVE that dog and how SWEET that he lets her love on him!! Every time I see how much Poppy has grown, I think back to that scared little girl in China and how much her life was about to change for the better. Gets me all choked up!!! Thanks for sharing the video!!!
sooo sweet! π
I watched this story on POV (PBS) *http://www.pbs.org/pov/adoption/*
I kinda wished you were on speed dial because that story brought out so many emotions in me and then I was all….I have no idea what adoption is really like so I should just watch this show with an open mind and try to learn something but I was so angry with the family of the little girls who were adopted. The girls mother (the American mother who adopted them) was so moody with the oldest little girl who was only 7 or 8 years old and had some problem with her wrist. So many things happened where this mother had absolutely no patience with the little girl who still had no idea how to speak English and was only an American for just a few short weeks and I thought about you and how you seem so much more patient and loving and just there for the transition for your adopted babies and how this woman could have learned so much from you…………I could go on and on but I won’t.
These are PRECIOUS! And the black and white conversions are wonderful.

Awwwww! The second to last shot is amazing! I love how he’s pretending to ignore the sweet little lump on his back. So adorable!!
Oh, this got me! Our sweet Kemmy has only been home 2 months…it took a FULL 9 days before our boxer baby was released from the restraining order Kemmy had issued. Now, you would never know there was any fear at all. Ella (the boxer) is the first soul she looks for in the morning. It’s so sweet to see her wrap her arms around Ella’s neck. Just look at Seamus’ face in these pictures!! I think he’s probably thankful for her lovin’ & that she doesn’t come with porcupine spines. π
These are gorgeous!! She is such a doll, and I love their ‘relationship’…so precious.
These are SO SWEET!!! Nothing better than a girl and her dog!!
OMGOODNESS her singing to poor Seamus is priceless!
Love it! We’ve taken our kids on all sorts of vacations, but their favorite? The one they still write about in school? Camping with our yellow lab, Denali. Hands down that was their favorite vacation. Denali passed on about a year ago and they can’t wait to take Stoli, our new lab, on her first camping trip. Unfortunately, dry conditions have shut down many of the campgrounds in our state. We’re taking Stoli on her first road trip to visit Grandpa and Grandma this week. The kids can’t wait to leave. Grandpa and Grandma are not quite so excited about Stoli spending a few days with them. I’m sure there will be an “incident”. Stoli is an “incident” kind of pup. But we love her. Great pictures!
Stef,
SO PRECIOUS!!!!!! Is Seamus a Boxer mix? What a great looking dog you have!!!! He looks huge next to his sweet little BFF!!!! What a blessing to see Poppy sharing the love she has learned from her precious family!!
Love,
Diana
I love pets. And sweet little ones who love them, too. π
I’m not a dog lover-but I sure am a lover of this! It’s too perfect-this love between a little girl and her dog-and his tolerance/acceptance of it! Thanks for sharing!!

Once again, that little Poppy of yours has stolen my heart!!!
Can she be any cuter???
Love the pictures, they are priceless! π
So, so sweet. Made me smile big smiles. :]
I knew I loved that sweet girl!!!!!!!! LOL! You know this hits me right where I live! LOVE it Stef!
I love these photos! They really capture the relationship between Poppy and her new man! Our boxer puppy has also stolen part of my heart π
Favorite favorite post!!!! I love it.
Love these shots in black and white and I ADORE her singing. SO precious.
Jill
I love following your family journey!! Miss Poppy and her pooch are so very sweet!!!!
I didn’t see a comment area under your last post about sponsors so I thought I would write a question here.
We are in the process of adopting a 12 year old boy from the Philippines. A video of our adoption journey will go live on give1save1.com this morning by 10am and will be there for one week. We are hoping our story will go viral on Facebook, twitter, blogs, etc… We are hoping that each person that views the video will be willing to give a dollar towards bringing our sweet boy home, and then share the link with others.
Would it be possible to get a $5, little guy, add to point folks to the link for our video? Could it be up for a week? I do not have a button:)
Just playing a little catch-up as life tries to rob me of ‘normal’ – but such is life from time to time. Great stuff here – nothing like the unconditional love of a dog to bring out the best in kids – dog is really God spelled strange!
Good luck on your venture too – only the best for y’all!
hugs – aus and co.
Gorgeous shots, but the second picture stole my heart!!! Perfect kiddo/doggie smiles!! π
This is so cute & sweet! Reminds me of my 3 with our dogie.
What an adorable dog!! We’ve been on a venture to find a VERY family friendly puppy for quite some time and haven’t decided which breed to pick from yet… these are amazing shots!!!
Boxers are FANTASTIC with kids. Seamus is my 5th Boxer and every one of mine has had the same tolerance for kiddos. They not only tolerate everything my kids give out, but the love it. Seamus insists on staying outside when the kids are outside… he finds a spot to watch over them no matter what they’re up to. He has his faults, but he is sooo good with our kids. And boy do we love him for it π
What a cute singing voice she has. So sweet she loves Seamus. He looks like he is used to kids hanging on him.
I could look at pictures of Poppy all day long. I’m waiting for the day that you picture PoPPy and TaLLula arm in arm.
too cute!
