Tallula has been home for almost five months now.
And, in every way, she is melting right into our family.
Of course, becoming part of our family in no way means she’s becoming less of herself.
She is every bit as impetuous
and determined
But she is developing a softer side now, too.
She is doing less pushing
and more hugging
and kissing
And we are so very grateful to be able to witness the story God is writing with her life.
We love you, Lula!
I took these on our upstairs porch. I chose this location because it has lots of beautiful light during the afternoon…. the time of day that’s usually most convenient for me to take pictures. There isn’t much high shade in our yard – we have lots and lots of pines, but the shade they provide isn’t really significant enough for pictures.
Also, the porch provides an interesting background without being too busy. And I love all the white.
I took these with my Nikon D90, 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. My settings for the first one were ISO 400, 32mm, f/2.8 and 1/125. And I edited them in CS6 with Florabella Colorplay Perfect Color and some other tweaks.

LOVE these photos. I’m trying to become a photographer too, but I’m not as far along as you. 🙂 Great photos. 🙂
Just so beyond adorable! She is precious and I love the colors in these photos!
She is just gorgeous!! I love her outfit, her name, everything!!
Love your work too.
Hope you have a blessed Sunday!
I am in love with these pictures. Congrats on 5 months! She is beautiful.
Happy Sunday!
your porch looks like the perfect spot to sit in the afternoon for some snuggles (and some photos) so glad your little one is getting along better!
Such exquisite photos in magical light!
She is absolutely just beautiful!
She is darling! Happy 5 months home! I also saw one of your pics on PW. Congrats!
Gorgeous photos Stef! Can’t believe that cutie pie has already been home 5 months! Question for you, if you don’t mind sharing, what 24-70 lens did you get? I’m thinking about a 24-70 and really don’t want to spend the big bucks on Nikkor, and I’m looking at the Tamron and Sigma alternatives. The vibration control on the Tamron sounds pretty great, so I’m leaning toward it, but I’m just not sure. I’d love to know which one you’re using since your photos are always so fabulous!
Hey Girl!
