Maria’s Big House of Hope spotlight: Nathalie

**Today Show Hope and I are switching blogs. I’m sharing over there and they’re sharing over here.
So excited to share this sweet little one – and all about Show Hope Care Centers – with y’all.
**

Back in 2003, Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, founded Show Hope out of their desire to see more children find their way into forever families. Though many families they talked to desired to adopt, the financial costs to adoption were simply prohibitive. Since its inception, Show Hope has helped provide forever homes through Adoption Aid grants for more than 4,000 waiting children from 50+ countries, including the U.S. In addition, more than 1,000 orphans with special needs have received critically needed medical care through Show Hope’s Special Care Centers!

Maria’s Big House of Hope (MBHOH) is Show Hope’s flagship Special Care Center, located in Luoyang, China. In 2012, a sweet and spunky little girl named Nathalie was admitted to MBHOH. She was diagnosed with CHD and Down syndrome and we are so thankful that she was able to receive the life-saving heart surgery she needed to thrive!

You don’t have to spend much time with Nathalie to realize that she loves dolls. She loves to dance with her doll and give it piggyback rides. It is also so sweet to watch her swaddle her doll gently in a soft blanket, a technique she learned from watching her nurse care for the other babies in her room. Witnessing her kind, nurturing heart is a treasure and we are so thankful for the tender care she is able to receive at MBHOH.

Last October, Nathalie began attending preschool at MBHOH and everyday she arrives with a smile on her face! Her favorite activity has always been to play in the toy kitchen and stir the food into different concoctions! When playtime is over and it’s time to clean up, Nathalie loves to take charge and show everyone where to put the toys! At the end of class, she always blows kisses as she waves goodbye.

Will you join us in praying for Nathalie? We pray that God would lead her into the arms of a forever family. She is an amazing little treasure and we are so blessed to know her! If you would like to continue praying for the children at our Special Care Centers in China, please sign up for our monthly prayer updates here.

Can you tell me how old she is and what agency might have her file? Thanks so much!
