to China for Clementine: a down day

Today we rested.

It just seemed like the obvious choice with our girl still so sick.

IMG_0336.JPG

Which meant staying in the room and doing everything we could to keep her anxiety to a minimum.

It also meant keeping the camera out of her face.

IMG_0331.JPG

But after she woke up, took a bottle and filled a diaper, I simply couldn’t resist.

She is just so precious.

IMG_0332.JPG

And despite the failing light and the moving target, I think I managed to get a few shots that show a glimpse of the sweetness of this girl.

IMG_0325.JPG

She is a delight.

IMG_0327.JPG

Rattly chest, runny nose, gunky eye and tape marks still on her cheeks from the hospital, and she is happy.

IMG_0328.JPG

I could take some lessons.

It might have been a down day, but I’d venture to say this day was better than any sights we could have seen.

Oh me. How can you take it? I just want to gobble her up! We moved over the week-end and Ruby had a major seizure so we had an ambulance ride down to Children’s. I’m so very thankful that Clementine is in your arms. What a treasure!

Breathtaking… not just her beauty … the moments captured… the thought of the bowls of prayers said on her behalf, spilling over and surrounding her. So blessed to have prayed with you and for you.

I wore my “Found” tee shirt several times this week. 🙂

ALL of these need to be printed on a canvas and hung some where. LOVE that one of her with her chin in her hand. Be still my heart!
