Safe and sound

I arrived last night, about 6:30 to the hotel. It was a sight for sore eyes as I had spent the vast majority of my 20+ hour travel day NOT sleeping as I hoped I would. For some reason, between the lack of incline in my seat, plus the unpleasant smell of my next door neighbors breath, I could only manage to get in a few winks. I suppose it worked out for the best since I was dog tired and slept pretty well last night, with the help of my good traveling buddy, Ambien. Hong Kong seems lovely but I won’t have any time for sightseeing. I’m off today to the airport at noon or so, my flight leaves a 2:00 for Nanning. I am SO excited to get to the province, to get that much closer to Sophie!! I can’t believe it’s about 24 hours until she and I will meet for the first time! I am still having a hard time grasping the reality of our impending meeting … being so out of my element gives everything such a dream like quality. Chris and I were trying to figure out how long it’s been since I was away without ANY of the kids for 2 weeks, and well, we couldn’t remember a time! I will do my best to post from Nanning ASAP, I am hoping to figure out how to set up my laptop in the room so I will have plenty of time to download photos! Lots of love to everyone. Thanks so much for all the prayers that I know are being said on behalf of my sweet Sophie. P.S. A bit about the pics. First was right before I left at the St. Louis airport. You can tell we had all gotten up too early! Next is from the plane right after it left the ground from St. Louis. Then a pic of Hong Kong when I arrived. It looked like it was going to rain, but hasn’t so far. Check out my awesome room! Me, working on setting the self timer on our camera … what a dork!

So glad to know you are there, safe and sound. When you get to Nanning, find out if a CCAI group is there. If so, you must find the guide, Michael and tell him that Yang, Hai Yang and parents love and miss him!

Hope you are sleeping well and saying a fast goodbye to any jet lag.

    Hugs, love and prayers….

    Melissa

    Stef,
So, excited that you are there! We ate lunch with Chris and the kids today after church. Isabelle stayed in promiseland today and did very well. We talked with Chris about when you would have Sophie. We are excited and we prayed for you both at lunch today.
    Thinking of you both!
    Love, Terri

Asked Chris about you today and he said you had updated your blog. We had lunch with Chris and the kids today at McDonalds. Isabelle stayed in promiseland today like a big girl. She did very well. We are praying for you and Sophie. We talked about the time you will get her. I am so excited and thinking of you both. Love, Terri
