After a long and occasionally difficult few weeks…

We’re finally settled into our new house. We left our house in St. Louis only a few days after Sophie and I returned home from China. We were both suffering from serious jet lag, but we all wanted to get on the road to our new house ASAP. So we finished up the packing with the help of some amazing friends and headed out. We stayed at my sister’s house for a few days as our closing on our new house was delayed by a day since the builder hadn’t completed some of the minor repairs we had requested on the house. We enjoyed the down time at my sister’s and I think it was good for the kids to spend a little time getting to know their new sister. We moved in on May 24th and since then it’s been hard core, moving misery. I always seem to forget how difficult moving is. It’s like having a baby, God just gives us the ability to forget the bad so we’ll do it all again. My mom and sisters came down and were a huge help to me and my brother in law helped Chris do all the heavy lifting. Just seeing all my ‘stuff’ laid out was a good reminder that I need to hold back a bit on the Wal-Mart trips. We definitely have too much stuff. We’re happily settled now so I’ll be posting to the blog again regularly. It’s SO good to be HOME!!
