home sweet home

We got home very late last night (actually very early this morning) from a week away… house hunting!! It was a chaotic but wonderful week, even though we came home no closer to finding our dream house than when we left. Sorry that some of you guys have been worrying about us, I had intended to post before we left, but my husband, for some crazy reason, didn’t consider that to be very high on our ‘to-do’ list and since time ran short (as it always does), it didn’t get done.
Thanks for the emails checking in on us, we’re just fine… maybe a tad bit worse for the wear of one week in a tiny hotel room with muchos kiddos… and we’re very glad to be home ๐Ÿ˜‰

I wondered but figured we all need a break now and then! ;+)
Bummer that you didn’t find the house this trip, but I’m sure some good things came of it and you know the Lord will provide in His timing! Can’t wait to see what He provides this time!
    Welcome home weary travelers!
    Blessings from North Carolina,

Welcome back! We missed you around here! Sorry you didn’t find your dream house yet, but I’m sure you will! That is surely one of the most difficult things to do…but I’m sure once you see it, you’ll know that’s “the one”! Good luck in your search!

Glad to hear everyone is okay. Keep the faith with house hunting. Isn’t it wonderful that God already knows where your new home will be? He continues to teach us about patience in so many ways….children, adoptions, house hunting. God is Good!

You know Josiah is from Inner Mongolia and out in the grasslands they really live in yurts. Our family is standing in front of a Yurt model home on our Family Blog- but you can only see a bit of it!!
    Perhaps you should ponder it.
Then again, probably not. I think you would need a pretty big yurt to fit the kiddos and then it would be a massive pain to get the military to pay to move the yurt and goodness knows the movers aren’t experts at rolling up a home and packing it on a truck. No, I think you’re gonna have to go the boring route. Good idea though Susan! ;+)

Oh my goodness, Stefanie you could so do a Yurt! COME ON! After driving all that way for so so long, you would be a pro at packing up the Yurt and heading to the next destination.
You could even put a bumper sticker on that car top carrier that says
    “Have Yurt, will travel!”

    Stefanie,
So glad to hear you’re all ok. I was a bit worried myself. I also missed reading about your kiddos. Sorry to hear that home hunting wasn’t successful. I love new home hunting (8 moves in first 9 years of marriage), but that was all pre-kids and I probably wouldn’t feel the same now. I am sure your dream home is out there just waiting for you. Welcome back!

You were so missed and I was getting worried. Glad you are home and the family is fine. I probably missed it….but where is the destination? I would love for you guys to move next door (Alabama).

Prayers that you will be hearing good news soon on our sweet baby boy.
