Sophie’s First Day (round two)

We’re trying preschool again this year, at Miss Sophie’s insistence. She really didn’t like her teacher last year and I had no reason, other than wanting her to just have fun and socialize, to make her go. So I was wondering what she’d want to do this year. Well, it took her about a second to let us know she did want to go, in fact, she couldn’t wait! She started on Monday and will go MWF from 9:00 to 11:30 (just barely long enough to go to the grocery store) but hopefully she’ll have a great time this year, meet some kids and gain more confidence in public. She’s a wild child at home (‘wild child’ being a relative term… no one is wild next to Isabelle) and clams up when we’re out. So I think being at school without her younger, more outspoken little sister will be a great thing. I was hoping to get some pictures at the school, as I was dropping her off, but Shepherd decided to have a screaming fit (not crying,
screaming) and I barely got out of there with my sanity, much less a cute “1st day of school” pic. So these’ll have to do ๐Ÿ™‚ She’s a beauty, isn’t she?

Sophie is an amazing beauty! I love her little outfit and sweet bow. There is just something about her…she looks like an old soul. All of your kids are beautiful. I see them and hear about them more than most of my own friends’ children. I’d love to meet them all some day, including their parents!

She is a beauty! Chaislyn just started preschool too. So far she loves it, but seems to talk too much, so her teacher says! I love her pigtails!

Oh Stef – she is beyond beautiful. You are such an amazing mommy and I am so happy for Sophie that she is ready and willing to try.

If you can believe it, they used to tell me how “blank” Em was in preschool…feels like a million miles away now. And the mommies of most of her friends say they feel Emily will be class president because she is such a social butterfly – sometimes, God just takes His time to grow the gifts in His way:)

    Blessings to you, sweetie

Sophie looks so happy to be going to school! I hope she has a great time and makes a lot of friend!

P.S. Katie-Beth is the same, she talks non-stop at home and then goes into what I call “zombie-mode” in public. For the first month of school her teacher wasn’t sure she could talk! LOL boy did she find out otherwise!

Can I say she is just gorgeous!!! So happy she is starting school. Did you read on my blog where I had EK signed up and chickened out- maybe next year. Seeing your angel gives me a little more confidence to send her.

Don’t know how I missed your blog. I noticed your age ticker at the bottom of your blog and it looked familiar, so I had to check my own. I think your Sophie is just one day younger than my Chloe, born on January 19, 2004.
