It was one month ago today that we saw this face for the first time.
And it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say we were surprised.
We’d only been logged in for three days. Our list of special needs was somewhat small. And the age of child we’d requested? Less than 18 months.
The truth was, I had no idea how God was going to show up.
But I did know He was going to.
Very much looking forward to actually meeting our girl. Holding her. Falling in love with her.
And watching His plan for our family unfold a bit more, right in front of our eyes.
With this next, most beautiful, adventure.
P.S. Take a minute and go visit Lisa and her beautiful new daughter Reagan… who are just beginning their adventure together as a family ๐
And there are very many of us looking very forward to watching your family's story continue to unfold. I'll be tuned in…
So very happy for your family! She is just gorgeous!
She is just precious. Isn't God amazing? His timing is so much better than ours could ever be. ๐
Stefanie have you seen this blog http://happygoluckie.blogspot.com? It looks like your daughter and this precious one have the same diagnosis. I can't wait for you to get an update so we can see more pictures.
Hard to believe it has been a month and yet it has also seemed like the longest month of my life. Hope you are meeting your little one in person very soon.
I still cannot say how excited and happy we are for y'all as you welcome her into your family! I can't wait for your journey to pick her up to begin so we can all continue to follow along in your joy! Blessings!
She's a beauty. Can't wait for you to meet and hold her for the first time!
He certainly did show up in a big way. ๐
Oh wow…you're so much better than I am…I didn't even think of today being one month since we first saw our little one too. Yay for Poppy and Livi!
Hi! My name is Shannon and we live in Kentucky. I was told of your blog by a dear friend and have so enjoyed reading about your family. We adopted a 4 year old boy from Ethiopia this spring and I must admit that I already have many thoughts about our next adoption (we have 4 biological children also). My husband and I are praying about what/who God has next for us. My question is this: Has it been difficult for you to adopt from China having the number of other children that you do? I had understood that we would not be able to adopt from there because we have 5 children. Is it because you were going to take a special needs child? Blessings, Shannon.
By the way I love your shirts. My daughter and I each have one.
Sorry, our blog is: http://www.shannonforthisseason.blogspot.com

She is gorgeous!!! I am so excited for your family!!!
Wow….a month already? Time flies! Well, maybe not for you all, but it does seem like just yesterday that you first posted her picture!
Morning Stef – 'and start falling in love with her' – it's a little late for that – you already are! I'm just sayin so you know!
And as for the new family musician….well….that's why God makes kids cute – k?
hugs – aus and co.
Hey Shannon!
China gives a 'waiver' to families adopting SN kids so number of children isn't an issue!
I'm emailing you too, just in case ๐
She is beautiful!
I just love the second photo ๐
She is just so perfect in every way!!! What a bunch of beauties you have!! M
I love how while YOU didn't know, God did – How He must have delighted in bringing you such joy in the photo of Poppy! HE KNEW! Now YOU know!
She is such a beautiful baby girl!! Look at those gorgeous eyes!! God is certainly amazing in the way He works!!!
SO exciting to watch God work! So happy for you and family :O)
