picture day

For the second time in one school year, it’s picture day.

For me?

Forms to fill out, checks to write, outfits to ready.

But for the kids?

It’s all fun.

And seeing them so darn jazzed this morning…

well, I just couldn’t help grabbing my camera just to capture the day.

The girls chose to wear their Chinese silks.

Dalton chose to wear his new plaid flannel shirt.

And hair gel. Lots of hair gel.

And Jude chose to wear the motorcycle.

And the shirt it was emblazoned across.

Sometimes, it can be the little things that bring such joy.

Like 10 seconds in front of a photographer, and all the anticipation and excitement that those 10 seconds evoke.

Hope y’all are finding joy in the little things today.

Hair gel and little boys–such a combo for photo days and church!
btw-Waiting on the edge for Part 4 (no pressure) but anxious! The name Esther has a HUGE place in my heart especially when talking of little girls and adoption so this journey for you brings specialness to me as well.
    Happy photo day!

Is that SNOW in the background???

OK, I feel bad for whining a few weeks ago at our gray days and cool temps. I'm sorry to say this but it is 75 degrees and sunny today.

Nonetheless, the snow makes for an awesome backdrop for your precious gems! I love that the girls chose their silks to wear! And the hair gel โ€ฆ priceless though he may not love you putting it on the blog! And the motorcycle โ€ฆ that would be my Li'l Dude too.

Okay. So, I have to ask. With the amazing, beautiful, NATURAL pics you get of your kiddoes, why on earth would you pay for the unnatural, almost-painfully-tilted head pics that most school pic companies churn out? I mean, the pics I see around here of your kids are like kid-modeling headshot quality.

And I'm NOT just sayin' that cuz you are my bloggity, picture-taking, adoptive mom celebrity crush hero.

Well, maybe that's why, just a little.

    Precious little things indeed.
And as always … incredible shots!
Esp love the hair gel … that is a new part of our morning routine as well.
On the edge of my seat from Hong Kong waiting for more GAWSH!
And still praying for a husband's heart to soften in hopes we can travel your footsteps to China.

Oh good Lord, I hate to think of what your photo day bill was for all the kiddo's. Do they let you make payments throughout the year?

    Thanks Barbarann!
We got them in GZ, on the island, at the House of Love. They were the only 2 sets I saw there, so I'm not sure if they're readily available, and they were a bit more $ than typical outfits you see on this island, but obviously well worth it ๐Ÿ™‚
Hope you're able to find some!
