Poppy news!

Oh my word.

This morning started out as I do almost every day:

Get up. Close the doors to all kids rooms, praying that they sleep another 30 minutes, at least.

Make coffee. Drink coffee.

Spend some time in the Word. I’m in Psalms right now and it’s almost impossible for me to resist using my highlighter daily. Love.

Then I get started with my day. And eventually, usually by 9AM, I check my email.

And this morning, to my complete amazement – as I had no idea this was even a remote possibility – found a slew of new pictures of our beautiful Poppy waiting in my inbox.

Seven new pictures. Of Poppy.

A wonderful traveling momma visited Poppy’s orphanage just the other day. And, God bless her, she asked if she could take some pictures of Poppy for her waiting family.

Oh goodness, Poppy has changed. And as always, she is positively beautiful. These pictures truly take my breath away.

I am working up a post for Sunday Snapshot – maybe posting a little early because I’m crazy excited to share these with y’all – featuring Miss Poppy G.

P.S. If you’re thinking that we should have already traveled for Poppy, you’re right. We should have been there and back by now. Yes, it is because of what God laid on our hearts for Esther. And yes, it has been very hard – I cannot tell you how hard – knowing that Poppy is still waiting. But we are trusting Him above all in this. And we feel like these precious pictures, and the update on the wonderful care she is receiving, are a beautiful reminder that not only does God have everything in His control… but that He loves our girl even more than we can imagine.

Yay! What a sweet surprise – I can't imagine how happy you must be to "see" your girlie!

Now please – post the pictures of Poppy or write post #4 about Esther (I do hope it is post 4 of 4!), so I don't have to keeping stalking your blog all weekend! πŸ™‚ (I'm sure I am not the only one!)

    Have a great weekend!

    All the best,

God is so good. Waiting on His plans to unfold can be unnerving…but always, always they are worth the wait. You know, God has really blessed me with some bloggy buddies that I have come to know just a bit through blogs. Recently when I have been having the racial discrimination and just plain old rude and stupid questions at the place where Josiah's ortho doctor practices, I have thought of several of my adoptive Mommy bloggy buddies…and wondered how ya'll might respond…and wondering if you too tire of getting attention when you leave your house with your treasures. If I get so much attention with 2, I can only imagine the questions people have asked you!
Just wanted you to know that you are one of the people that I have really been challenged by.
Looking forward to the rest of the story and your sweet Poppy's photos πŸ™‚
