Sunday Snapshot: {hijacked}

Okay.

You probably don’t get the title of this Sunday Snapshot.

But by the end, you will.

Promise.

As you can see, Jude was the man today.

Because well… he was game. And he didn’t need a haircut. And he hadn’t spilled anything on his shirt at lunch.

Really though, that’s just kinda the way Jude rolls. Pretty much game for anything.

Even starting kindergarten at a brand new school this year – and having to get up at 5:30 in the morning – he was ready to go.

No tears. No complaining. He just jumped up on that big ol’ bus and headed off.

He loves school and is overcoming his shyness around others more all the time.

*sniff*

He was so painfully shy, y’all… I am insanely proud of him and how far he’s come.

At home though, he’s the furthest thing from shy.

Seriously.

That impish grin might have fooled some of y’all, but underneath those dimples and ruddy cheeks lies one naughty booger.

Really naughty.

In fact, he’s the one kiddo that always has to come with me wherever I go because he’s too naughty for anyone else.

I think it’s a combination of his smarts and his charm that have helped him create a skill set that gets him into all sorts of mischief.

And really, when he smiles like that – and says stuff like, “I love you mom! You’re the best mom in the world!” even though I know he’s just yanking my chain – I just can’t seem to stay upset with him.

He’s ridiculously sweet and surprisingly gentlemanly. When properly motivated.

He just has to want to be sweet. And gentlemanly.

So really, the end of the stick you get with Jude all depends on how he feels about you.

One person he is positively crazy for is his little sister, Poppy.

Whenever she fusses, he rushes to help her.

He’s quick to pick her up and carry her – even though he outweighs her by only 10 pounds.

And even though she can walk perfectly well on her own.

Today Miss Poppy made a surprise appearance as Jude and I were out taking pictures.

Carried out by Sophie because she was missing mama.

Or maybe, she just wanted to see her adoring big brother.

Whatever the reason, Jude was quickly outnumbered by the girls.

His entire Sunday Snapshot was hijacked.

But something about that smile tells me he didn’t mind.

Not one bit.

He’s such a cutie pie…. Love his little grin…. I have one like that – not so much the naughty, cuz he’s the most compliant of the five but the charm and the smile that changes my mind every time I’m about to lay into him ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for the cute-dose!!!!

I can totally see how that lil cutie hijacked it. I feel like I don’t “know” Jude as well so I am glad to see this post all about his cuteness.

Really?! There is no way that super-charming, always-smiling boy who always looks a-dor-able in every single photo you take of him is even the tiniest bit naughty! Seriously, he is one cute boy! Sounds like he is already learning to use that to his advantage (watch out world!)

    All the best,

I love that Jude-boy… cute dimples, impish grin, “naughty booger” and all!! Khloe has that EXACT same side to her, so maybe it’s the Gutian kid in both them?! ;o)

Wow! Gorgeous children! Amazing photos. I love the one of Jude and Poppy. He looks so proud and she looks so incredibly joyful. It’s great to see them all growing and blossoming together. Just like in the book I sent; I think Poppy has found the garden where she can grow best! A thrill to see! Thank you for sharing.

Okay I tried again and I was unable to put my link and thumb nail post here on your site. Arg…..
When I am on my site I can click on sunday Snapshot and it sends me here.
Frustrations. Even my hubby the computer wiz can’t figure out why. We were wondering if it had to do with
editing our pictures in Picnk and then back to Flickr and then posting on my blog. The linkz keeps on saying it is not a direct link. I so want to join in. Sorry ……
    Have a great day!!
