good golly

This girl.

A few weeks ago she decided that it was time for her ever-so-slightly wiggly front tooth to come out.

NOW.

Several times she asked me simply to pull it out.

But I reminded her that it had to actually be loose first.

Evidently she took those words to heart.

After spending most of last night wiggling her tooth, that bad boy is now barely hanging on.

Good golly.

I hope it’s out soon, my stomach can’t take much more of this.

Wish I lived closer. I am really good and pulling teeth ๐Ÿ™‚ 13 years of teaching will do it!

Oh my gosh, I remember being not fond of a loose tooth when I was a child, and I’m still not fond of it now. But your Isabelle, she is still stunningly beautiful, even with a loose front tooth =)

Great couple posts there Stef – nothing better than family – except if they are there ALL the time! And as for the tooth – dudette (wouldn’t be right to call you ‘dude’) – I’m with you – don’t like the tooth thing….maybe even phobic about it!

    hugs – aus and co.

Brings back bad memories! I wouldn’t let a soul touch my loose teeth and would literally let them hang by a thread when I was a kid. Not my favorite thing now either- as a mom or a teacher! Thankfully dad deals with it or lately they just yank them out themselves. I really don’t know how they do it!! I’m sure Isabelle’s is out by now..if not soon…She just cracks me up!!

Isabella has had two loose teeth for about six MONTHS now. SIX MONTHS. I swear her teeth will never fall out.

I was the same way. The second one would wiggle I wanted it out. After I almost swallowed a tooth I hated having wiggling teeth in my mouth.

Teeth are not one of my favorite things either. I was awful as a child, no one could come near me and that resulted in swallowing a couple of my teeth. My daughter is so brave and thankfully so. She can work a tooth out in one night. A friend of ours told her to twist it when she wanted it to come out and she does. I haven’t had to do a thing other than remember to help out the tooth fairy. Which I have also forgotten to do on a couple of occasions.

Too cute! And it’s always fun to loose a tooth at school! Hopefully it’s gone before she gets home. ๐Ÿ™‚
Jailyn wanted some $ for an arcade game – when I told her that I didn’t have any money, she responded, “I need to loose a tooth – then I’ll get $1! Such a problem solver!

Oh my yes, Steph! That is one of the very few things that gives me the “hee-be, jee-bee’s”!!! Why is that? I was even a dental assistant for years before becoming an Ophthalmic nurse and I STILL can hardly stand to see a baby tooth “hanging” by a thread!!! However, your little Miss I is ADORABLE, loose tooth and all!.

Dental floss and Dad…that’s how we get teeth out at our house! I’ve even been known to call Dad home from work to do the job!!

Loose teeth are so NOT my thing. Can’t stand them. As a momma. Or as a teacher! Totally gives me the heebee jeebees! My poor child has pulled all of her own loose teeth–most of them at school!

Those first few pictures kind of grossed me out about the fact that kids lose teeth. I was thinking ‘How did I do that as a child?’ And then I was thinking, ‘How does she handle it? With that many kids, they must be losing teeth all the time!’

And then I read the last sentence. I guess we’re on the same page. ๐Ÿ™‚
