howdy, red… 4 weeks later

Since y’all were there when I recolored my locks, I thought I’d update ya.

Four weeks later.

As expected, the red has faded.

I don’t hate it as much as I feared. And since the new color should stick more every time I get it recolored, in the meantime, I just try to wash my hair less often.

And wear it up more often.

Which has yielded some pretty unsightly hairdos.

Exhibit A.

Good thing it’s only temporary.

And good thing that I’m not terribly hung up on looking great (great being a very relative term).

Because that takes a lot of work. And some other stuff.

Thankfully there are some folks around here that don’t need hair color.

Or anti-wrinkle cream.

Or restrictive undergarments.

Ahhh, beauty.

Wait a minute, Poppy…

what are you doing?

Oh my.

My Caroline (3 1/2 ) has been finding ‘buried treasures’ in her nose as well. She thinks it funny. Poppy is beautiful.

Thanks for sharing! Made my day! I love how you share the good and the ‘bad’ about your kids and yourself. It’s that honesty and candor that makes you so real! Trust me, I can understand all about the hair color, wrinkle creams, etc. It’s just to refreshing to have you share. Thanks so much, Stephanie!

Goody Spin Pins = best cure in the world for unwashed/bad hair days. They stay in all day, too.

That little munchkin sure is adorable!

    Haha- too cute!
That girl could have her finger in her nose all day long and still win a beauty contest!!

And you look great with any color hair!

My son in law is a homicide detective and has a friend on the force with a little ‘nose picker’. He once told her,’Pick a good one Kristin.’ A few days later she went to her dad and said, ‘I’m pickin’ a good one Daddy!’

Yeah, my stylist told me that red fades faster than any other color….. You still look great though!

Poppy is just precious and perfect – what a joy!

And as for the red – well let’s just say that somehow I don’t think your DH minds it a bit!! 😉 (and that shot of your eyes is OUTSTANDING work!!)

    hugs – aus and co.
