almost here

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. – Elizabeth Stone

Soon my heart will be whole again.

i just have to write you a quick note and tell you what a delight it’s been to see your sweet poppy blossom and grow over the past few months. i was in china bringing my baby girl emery home the same time you guys were meeting poppy. (i met you quickly in the medical exam office in guangzhou). it’s truly amazing what a few months will do. emery has grown and changed in miraculous ways…so much so that it’s hard to believe it’s the same child. i’m sure you’ve seen it many times before with your kiddos…but for me, it’s been such a welcomed surprise – a part of adoption i had no idea about: the transformation. what a powerful God we serve!!
blessings to you as you celebrate this week with your adorable crowd of cuties.

So is your son Zach out of the house? Does he go to college? Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are thankful to have found a nice turkey here in China. It will be a great celebration!
