I love Saturdays.
For lots of reasons.
My husband is home.
And on Saturdays, only on Saturdays, he has time to make my very favorite meal.
Chicken Fried Steak, where have you been all my life?
Of course, I could make it myself. But why?
He makes it so much better than I.
And all the work? The dipping? The frying? And the cleaning?
Doesn’t bother him nearly as much as it bothers me.
Because I?
Hey, some things, I’m good at.

Oh yummy! Isn’t it great to have a hubs who likes/doesn’t mind cooking? ๐
I want to come to your house for Saturday dinner (and I’m a Vegetarian)!
looks delicious!
This post is so very sweet Stef…… Your husband totally rocks!!!
Do you believe that I have never had Chicken Fried Steak? This came up while I was in Texas….. because I believe it is a Southern Favorite. One of these days I will have to try it. It looks GOOD!!
Happy Sunday to you and your family.
xoxo,
Lisa
I know just you mean, my husband makes the best honey glazed chicken. It’s mess to prepare too.
It looks so yummy, this is my first time join sunday snapshot, happy sunday.
Love the personality in the photos…my hubby makes breakfast on the weekend. Breakfast always tastes better when he makes it.
love the pictures. I love it when my husband cooks too, there are some things that just taste so much better when you don’t have to make it yourself ๐ Your meal looks really yummy!
And that’s about a perfect meal, chicken fried steak, mashed potatos and green beans – my absolute dinner fav!!
For my part – I’m a breakfast maker – no foo foo breakfast like crepes’ – no – eggs fried or scrambles, goetta (it’s a Cincinnati German too cheap to waste anything kind of food but the best breakfast meat on the planet) or thick cut bacon (but boiled in it’s own fat), fried potatos of somekind or another – and a bread – toast, biscuits or pancakes depending on my mood – washed down with about a gallon of coffee!
But not today – I’m a tad under the weather but am still going to gut out the piano recital and a quick visit with a family we adopted with who is passing through on a Thanksgiving visit to their folks a tad north of here – if it kills me!!
hugs – aus and co.
Oh no, Aus! Hope you’re feeling all better in time to enjoy Thanksgiving with your family ๐
Oh my, looks delicious!
