My kids are killing me. I mean K. I. L. L. I. N. G me. My boys are out of school this week for ‘fall break’. That’s a misnomer if I ever heard one. Isabelle is sick, has been sick for going on 2 weeks. Dalton had strep and an ear infection, but he’s better now. Isabelle didn’t fare so well with her strep, the Amoxil didn’t work so we had to take her back and have her antibiotic changed. How did we know she was still sick? She wasn’t sleeping. At all. Waking up crying and then insisting that I hold her in order for her to stop screaming. She is never like this usually, so I really enjoyed all the cuddle time, but after a while I had to stand, rocking with her over my shoulder in order for her to stop screaming. And it got old. Quick. Soon my brain got out of overload long enough for me to pull out my Ergo carrier and that seems to do the trick. Thank you Ergo! So it’s been a week that she’s been on this new antibiotic and now she’s STILL not sleeping. STILL waking up crying every 20 minutes at night. So on Monday we took her back in (yeah, they all know us really well at our pediatrician’s office) and find out she’s got a virus now. Oh, and she’s vomiting. And has some crankin’ diarreah. Greeeeeeaaaaattt. How one child can create so many loads of laundry is beyond me. Oh, and the laundry that was caused by the egg filled throw up came out of the washer with chunks of egg in it. Yeah, and it still stunk. So I washed it all again. And again. Oh, don’t forget the diarreah, spilling out of the side of her diaper? More fun. Can’t wait for tomorrow!!
