my mother’s day

I really love my husband right now.

He couldn’t decide between two gifts for Mother’s Day, so he asked me which one I wanted the most.

And it was a good thing he did. Because the answer was neither.

Chris has a very endearing habit of over doing it when it comes to gift giving for his lady.

He was ready to drop over $2000 on a Mac Lapbook Pro.

So, as I batted my eyes and thanked him for considering indulging me so, I told him what I really wanted this Mother’s Day.

A totally. clean. house. Top to bottom, spic and span.

So he’s been bustin’ it all day. Moving couches. Dusting picture frames. Scouring toilets. He even gave the dogs a bath and cleaned out their little doggie beds.

And yes, I did help some. I might be lazy, but I’m not completely heartless.

It’s smelling awfully sweet around here.

I can not wait to wake up tomorrow morning. Seriously, there’s nothing I love more than to wake up in a clean house. Especially on a day I can just hang out and love on my family.

But a close second might just be that Mac Lapbook. If he insists.

I’ll keep you posted.

Happy Mother’s Day to y’all. Hope you have a day filled with joy, surrounded by your loved ones.

P.S. No Sunday Snapshot tomorrow, but I’ll be back with one next Sunday ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow! That is an awesome gift! I have been reading your blog lately, and your kiddos are precious! Did everything with your youngest turn out alright yesterday? I have been thinking about her! My husband and I are in the lovely 'waiting' process to bring home our little one. She was a WC from Korea, so my heart immediately fell in love with your sight when I saw that you are such an advocate for those babies! They truly are precious. I have been blogging about our journey, and would love for you to check us out! I am over at http://www.w8ing4her.blogspot.com.

Your hubby sounds like mine… And I would have to agree with you that a completely clean house is oh, so much better! I wish that my husband would come up with gifts like that instead of the gadgety/techno gifts he pulls out at times!
    Happy Mother's day!

I feel awful saying this, but I'm just being real… I am green with jealousy, mostly because my house looks like a bomb exploded, due to sickness as well. Happy Mother's Day to you!

I love a clean house- it makes me feel like a million bucks- which I have no idea what that feels like but we will just assume it feels good!

You have a great hubby!! What a guy!!

BTW- take the laptop, too! Your worth it!!
    Have a wonderful day!
(I ordered my wild olive tees- gift wrapped so they could give them to me for Mother's day!) Is that controlling or helpful??

Thanks for the update on Sarah- what a cutie she is!!

A clean house? You are brilliant. Brilliant I say! And lucky that you have a man that loves you enough to provide that gift. Not many of us can claim that.

Now see, the top to bottom cleaning of the house is very sweet, but if he was willing to shell out two grand on a computer, he should have taken that two grand to a maid service and give you a clean house for as long as that will last. I'm just sayin'…….

A clean house…what a novel idea! And with sick kids all week, I can imagine that a clean house was a wonderful gift. The laptop sounds nice, though, too. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh man! You mean I could have asked for a clean house? I just asked for a clean garage. Next year I'll think bigger.

Happy Mother's Day to one of the dearest moms God created.

    Much Love,

Honest to goodness, you are making the "thou shalt not covet" a bit more challenging…. Kudos, Chris! And kudos, Stef, for heeding God's call and being the mom that He asks you to be.

I'm so jealous. I wish I had thought of that. Seriously. There's not much sexier than a hubby cleanin' house top to bottom . . . a score all around, if ya know what I'm sayin' . . .

I got a lovely little Canon Power Shot Elph. The problem is, I'm feeling technologically overwhelmed. I still haven't had a chance to do the tutorial dvd for my new phone. I'm totally stressed by the fact that I (again!) have the best technology in the house with my new phone and new camera and it's totally completely underutilized. And likely to remain so if I don't figure out how to find time to learn all about them.

    Cuz I'm cleaning the house.
