Asher – day one of grade five

My sweet Asher.

As with most things, he’s perfectly content to begin a new school year.

Likewise, he’s perfectly content to stay home.

He’s ridiculously easy that way.

He did have a great first day… not that I drill my kids when they get home from their first day of school or anything.

Ahem.

His first comment was that two kids from his class last year are in his class this year.

And those two kids? Are girl kids.

Oh my. Hope he doesn’t enjoy school too much this year.

Oh. girls. Yup, this is THE year, I think. Funny how they start to notice these things:) And isn't it nice to have a CONTENT kid??

p.s. LOVE Dalton' shirt. My middle son would love it too!!

Oh, friend, Kade came home from the first day of 5th grade & very matter-of-fact-like informed us that he has a girlfriend. I asked how this happened, & he said, "Well, she asked me at recess, so I said sure". And just last year he was rolling his eyes at all the little girlies chasing him around. Ugh…I think I liked that much better.

So is the ridiculously cute smile a result of the two girl kids being in his class?
