Sunday Snapshot: the other side

We finally got a chance to spend some time on the other side of the creek.

Because arriving there safely includes traversing a bridge that needs side rails – the littlest require adult supervision.

This is the part of the property that made me swoon when we first looked at this house.

And it’s only gotten more beautiful.

The fried chicken, potato salad and sugar cookies went down quickly.

And we just sat and talked.

And I thought, cookie in hand, “I can’t believe I get to live here.”

I’m already dreaming of all the possibilities for this land.

A pasture for the ponies? A garden? A barn?

Maybe one day a little cottage?

I have no idea – and we have no money right now to do any of the above – but I’m certain God has a plan.

And so far, so good.

  11. Looks amazing! I sure hope y’all have some Deep Woods Off! 🙂 I don’t know about your woods, but ours are FULL of ticks. In fact, the Prez just yanked one off my leg as I squealed like a big baby! I don’t mind the hurt, but they just GROSS ME OUT. Yuck. I know, what a lovely comment, but I kept thinking, “I hope they checked all their kids for ticks when they got back to the house!” I need to join into Sunday Snapshot today…if I can stay awake long enough! 🙂 Love the pics as usual. You are so talented, and it doesn’t hurt you have such precious subjects!
