Since celebrating Poppy’s 2 years home with a photo shoot, I’ve been taking my kids out – one by one – to capture them this summer.
Sophie’s photos are here.
Isabelle’s are here.
Dalton’s are here.
Just a few more to go.
Vivienne has been waiting for her turn. Quite impatiently, I might add.
Because, you see, she knew she’d get a chance to bring along her favorite things.
And she had them picked out long ago.
First was a ribbon on a stick that we picked up in the $1 section of Target.
But don’t tell her that. She’s been calling it her “dancing ribbon” and has babied it all summer, waiting for a chance to use it in front of the camera.
Second was her pillow – best friend, snuggle buddy and recipient of incalculable kisses.
Also known as “pill-y”. Because she adds a “y” to the name of everything she loves.
Then, as quickly as she’d gotten her ribbon dancing on, she was done.
Pill-y showed up.
She was ready to get her snuggle on. And I was happy to oblige.

Hi Stephanie, I just love the name Vivienne. I was wondering how YOU pronounce it? I have seen different ways on the internet and was wondering how you did it? Is is like the traditional Vivian, just spelled differently? or is it more french sounding? Vi VI EEEEN? Delaine Spruill
